Sometimes a song has such vivid and beautiful language that it’s almost as if you can see everything that the lyrics say. Songs such as these are undeniably art. Here are a few songs that I feel have such beautiful lyrics that it is almost as if they create a painting in your mind. I’ve also included different artists’ interpretation of what they see:
All swaddled in their coats
To keep their little heads
From fallin’ in the snow
And I turned ’round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries
In the summertime
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight
I’m stepping through the door
And I’m floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Towering over your head
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
And she’s gone
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever
